What IraVoice processes on your computer

IraVoice processes microphone audio while you hold or tap the dictation key, the text it types for you, and the clipboard it uses to paste that text (your clipboard is put back once the app has read it). In terminals, editors, and coding agents it reads the names of files, folders, and symbols in the Git project the app is working in, so it can spell them; it never reads source text, and it skips secrets and dependency folders. Replacements, snippets, custom words, and settings stay on your computer. A local History keeps your most recent dictations (five by default) with their recordings, so you can recover text; you can change the limit or turn recordings off in Settings.

Learning the words you correct

IraVoice can learn the words you correct. On a Mac it reads the text box it just typed into, once, on your computer; anywhere, you can correct a dictation with the Fix shortcut instead. It keeps only the corrected word pairs and never sends them anywhere. You can pause it or forget any learned word under Advanced → Learn from my fixes.

IraVoice Local: what leaves your computer

On IraVoice Local, and during the trial, no audio and no dictated text leaves your computer. Speech recognition runs on-device with NVIDIA Parakeet. The app makes only these connections:

• The speech model downloads once, on first run, from Hugging Face or IraVoice's model mirror. Other models download only if you choose them.
• Trial and license check-ins go to api.iravoice.com. They carry a salted hash of a hardware ID, never the raw ID, plus your license key and a computer name so you can tell your computers apart when moving a license.
• Update checks go to api.iravoice.com. You can turn them off in Settings.

IraVoice Cloud (coming soon): what will be sent and why

IraVoice Cloud is not on sale yet. When it launches, Cloud recognition will send the audio of each dictation, and AI polish its text, to IraVoice Cloud at api.iravoice.com, which passes them to Groq (recognition) and Anthropic (polish) to return your result. IraVoice's servers never store Cloud audio or text. Groq does not retain inference data (its temporary abuse logging is switched off). Anthropic deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days. Neither trains on them. Both features will be switchable off in the app, and if the network is slow or offline the on-device model is used instead. IraVoice Local never sends audio or text.

No account, no telemetry

IraVoice has no user accounts, no product telemetry, and no transcript history in the cloud. Your license is identified by its key and the email address you bought with.

Purchases

Checkout is run by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record. Stripe collects your payment details, billing address, and email to process the payment, calculate tax, prevent fraud, and send receipts, under its own privacy policy. IraVoice receives the purchase email, plan, number of computers, and payment status so it can issue and email your license key. We use that email only for your license, receipts, and support.

Website privacy

This website does not include advertising trackers, client analytics pixels, cookies, or third-party fonts. At the Cloudflare edge, it records aggregate page requests and clicks through the first-party Buy redirect. The stored event contains only the event type, canonical site path, broad source category, an allowlisted campaign label, and browser-or-crawler classification. It does not store an IP address, full referrer, User-Agent string, query string, cookie, persistent identifier, speech, or text in the analytics dataset. Download buttons link straight to IraVoice's download service and ask for no email.

After a purchase, the thank-you page asks api.iravoice.com for your license key so it can show it to you; nothing about that request is stored by the website.

Earlier versions of this website asked for an email address before a trial download. Those records hold the email address, whether the optional marketing checkbox was selected, the consent-policy version, the referring page and allowlisted campaign label, and request times. IraVoice does not add an email to marketing unless that checkbox was selected. You can ask to access or delete such a record, or withdraw marketing consent, by emailing hello@iravoice.com.

The contact form stores the name, email address, category, message, first-party source page, submission time, and notification-delivery status you provide so IraVoice can read and respond to your request. A notification copy is sent to the verified IraVoice destination with your address set as Reply-To. Contact-form details are not added to marketing lists. You may use the same address to request access or deletion. Cloudflare processes standard request data to deliver and protect the website.
