What IraVoice is

IraVoice is independent dictation software for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Hold Right Command on a Mac or Right Ctrl on Windows, speak, and release: the words are typed where your cursor is. Speech recognition runs on your computer with NVIDIA Parakeet. In terminals, editors, and coding agents, IraVoice spells the code names of the Git project you are working in, so “use effect” becomes useEffect.

How the product is identified

The product display name is IraVoice. The canonical domain is iravoice.com, and the desktop app uses the identifier com.iravoice.app. IraVoice 1.2.2 is a rebuilt, cross-platform app; it replaced the earlier macOS-only releases (0.x), whose bundle identifier was com.iravoice.dictation.

What IraVoice is not

IraVoice is not an enterprise telephony media server, call center platform, meeting recorder, or continuous spoken assistant. It is not affiliated with unrelated products or social accounts that use the IraVoice name. An account or profile should be treated as official only when this website links to it.

Where it comes from

IraVoice 1.2.2 began as a fork of the open-source Handy by CJ Pais (MIT License). Speech models are downloaded separately and keep their own licenses; NVIDIA Parakeet models are licensed under CC-BY-4.0. See the third-party notices.

How to get the current release

Download IraVoice only from the download page on this domain. The Mac disk image is Developer ID signed and Apple-notarized; Windows and Linux installers come from the same IraVoice download service, and the app checks it for signed updates.
