Local speech to text for Mac
IraVoice is a local, on-device dictation app for Apple-silicon Macs. Hold Right Option, speak naturally, and release to place polished text into the focused editable field. The active Dictate path processes microphone audio and supported formatting on your Mac instead of sending either to a cloud transcription service.
The speech model downloads on first use. The trial clock begins only after the first completed voice action, and the 3-day trial can then run offline. Continued paid use needs one Gumroad license-key check; the result is cached locally. Gumroad does not receive microphone audio or dictated text. An optional direct agent handoff is connected and sends only the finished specification.

Local describes where recognition runs. Offline describes whether Dictate needs a connection after its prerequisites are complete. IraVoice discloses the model download, one-time paid-license check, and separate opt-in agent handoff instead of hiding them behind an absolute claim.

The full 3-day trial is tracked locally and does not require license activation. Its clock starts only after the first completed voice action, so setup and attempts that deliver no usable text do not consume it. After speech-model setup, Dictate can run offline.
